The European Poker Tour Barcelona continued over the weekend as Casino Barcelona played host to yet even more events during the PokerStars tournament series. The latest event to finish up was the €10,300 High Roller. The poker event had a solid turnout with 439 entries, which included 112 re-entries. The total prize pool up for grabs would be €4,258,300. In the end, a three-way deal saw Silver earn the first place finish, with Norbert Szecsi finishing in second and Joris Ruijs earning the third place spot.

Final Day of Play:

On the final day of the Barcelona event, a total of 18 players would return to the felt to compete for the first-place finish. After a few players were eliminated, including the double elimination of Siarhei Chudapal and Mikalai Vaskaboinikau, the event would narrow down to the final table.

According to PokerNews…

Szecsi would gain the lead going in to the final three, after eliminating Orpen Kisacikoglu and Richard Kirsch in fifth and fourth place. This would give him more than half the chips in play as he faced off against Ruijs and Silver. The players took a dinner break and then decided to agree on a deal when they returned. They would split the cash based on chip stack and lead €60,000 for the winner.

Finishing Strong:

Eventually, Ruijs would be eliminated in 3rd place since he was the short stack. His two pair would not hold up against the straight of Silver, which he earned on the river. Silver then had the chip lead, which he used to chip away at Szecsi’s stack and would eventually earn the win, with pocket tens against pocket threes.
